Thin Film Transistor

Thin Film Transistor (TFT), in Italian thin film transistor, is a technology applied to display the plates to crystals liquids (LCD) or to OLED that come in this way it identifies to you like display to active matrix.

The fundamental difference between a TFT and a traditional panel LCD is the way in which it comes polarized the liquid crystal. To replace the LCD would allow to obtain display more performanti from all the points of view: optical, since the emission of the OLED is to 360°C; from the point of view of the consumptions, since the OLED is for its emissivo and not trasmissivo nature like in the case of the LCD; from the point of view of the construction and the flexibility. The only problem is, today, the time of life of the colors: still a time of life has not been caught up, for the blue above all, sufficiently high.

While general technology TFT was developed in the United States to leave from 1979 near the university of the Minnesota and carried in the years succeeded you to the realization of resistive and capacitive nets to the high integration for the realization of mainframe, the implementazione of this technology for the realization of LCD to active matrix must to varied Japanese industries and has been subsequently implemented and elaborated also from taiwanesi, Korean and alsolately Chinese colossus of the electronics.
